Returned With Honor

Hermana Friend's mission didn't end as she would have liked, I talked to her Mission President on January 23, 2016 with her test results.  He said that they would be sending her home for gallbladder surgery.  She arrived on Thursday, January 28, 2015 and had her surgery a week later.  This is us just before she went in for the surgery, she had been in a lot of pain and was very hopeful for a quick recovery.  Her Mission President informed us that the Church's policy on missionaries returning home for health reasons with less than 6 months remaining on their mission are reported as completing a full and honorable mission.  Taylor had only 4 months left of her 18 month mission.  Though Taylor didn't return home when and how she had intended, she did return home with honor and we are so proud of her!  She has healed well and is now moving on to the next phase of her life beginning college at BYUI in July.

Mission Illness

Well my test is not until tomorrow so it was a whole week of waiting. My pains have been seeming to get worse. I get these really intense sharp pains on my right and left side and sometimes on my back. I am starting to think it would be better for me to go home early. Not that I am giving up, I just need to figure out what is going on in my body. So I hope the test results bring answers to the pain. I feel like I am going crazy just waiting, but I have been learning patience during this trial. I have been preparing myself emotionally to coming home early.
But the work is good here. We had a baptism Saturday and she is amazing:)
